Been a long while

hmmm... it has been along while since i last posted an entry.

So many things have happened but do not know where to start. Maybe have to slowly get into the groove of writing things and see how things.

One good thing is that i finally managed to see Ronaldinho in action live. Even though his performance is nothing real to shout about but at least there are some glimpses of what made him the World Player of the year before.

Well.. keep it nice and short for now... will gather my thoughts for more.

On Trial

Did not realise it but i have been a free agent since i last "played" in december. I guess i decide to become a free agent for a while and just take it easy and enjoy the free pastures that i get as a free agent.

I have been given a chance to showcase my skills on another platform and i guess i take it as a trial period and see what happens.... if the manager willing to extend my contract.. might as well try it out and see what happens.

I will try to give an update on how things are going, with so many activities going on, i guess i just have to try to balance and see what i can do to sort out my thinking.

Whatever happens, happens... we shall see what happens in the future.

Till then...

shall i retire or continue playing on (a la Alan Shearer)

hmmm... just realise that due to work pressures. i may need to give up this blog and my observations of the football world.

this started out as a project for me so that i can place certain things in pespectives by using football as an guiding lesson to how i want to proceed with my life....

I have yet to find proper directions but i guess i will keep finding....

So now my thought on this is... should i continue keeping my observation on football.. or should i give it up at all....

Hahah.. there are no readers to my blogs anyway.. so maybe i should consider retiring....

Oh well.. i shall sleep on it for a while.. and consider this for a while...

Additional pressures?

Currently there are people who try to do their best in their sport because they believe that they are doing the right thing. But recent events from media have been asking the Refs to come out and asking them to justify each decision that they made.... but by doing so.. are putting on additional pressures to do the jobs that we love?

Refs do not need to attend the post match conference to explain each and every decision that needs to be made. Even though they are the most important man on the pitch, they are just normal human beings who are doing this for the love of the jobs.

Keeping in mind that these refs are not professionals, they have other professions that they do in their own time (teacher, postman.. etc) Refs do not need the additional pressures that comes with it. It is like asking someone to justify each and every action that they make and in a game where they make about 100 decisions, is it right to ask them to come out and explain each decision?.

Actually there is already a kind of match report that Refs have to report back to the FA anyway, why not let the public have a look at the match report. Everything would be in black and white and refs would not be seens as being misquoted. In a way, wouldnt that better.....

Some of us do our job the best way that we can can and believe that it is the best way. if we need to justify each and every reason, wouldn;t that made life very difficult for each of us to do our jobs properly.... it is true that we need to justify certain decisions but when we have to make 100 or more decision each day.. which sometimes allow our sub-conscious to do the decision making for us... if we try to keep aware each and every decision... wouldn;t that be too stressful......

Just a thought...

Staying put for long.....

Have to give Alex Fergerson and Arsene Wenger their dues for staying in club management and in the current clubs for so long.

Alex Fergerson have managed MU for 20 years while AW have been there for 10 years.
Special Mention need to be given to players who have been at one club for so long (Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes)

In our current society today, it seems difficult for alot of us to stay at one workplace for so long. In the olden days, as long as you are in the civil sector, most likely you will stay in a place for long. However right now with globalisation and changing of work places, very seldom you see one stay in a "club" for long.

If given a choice, how do one managed to stay in a workplace for so long? is it due to passion in the job, the familarity of the place, or just having reach a certain comfort zone one is afraid to move on to other pasturers (whether greener or otherwise)...

I always wanted to try to stay in a place for long.. but somehow i dunno why i just couldn;t (change of situations, better exposures). I know that it would not be that good for ones career but i really do not know... one part of me wanted to explore new things (maybe i am an explorer by nature) but sometimes i do want to try and keep myself grounded..... so i am always a confused individual... hahaha... (at least i can blame my star sign.. since geminis are always known to have dual personalities...)

Anyway... congrats to AF and AW for their long presence in their respective clubs... I hope that i can learn something from them in that aspect....

Ranting = excuses?

It has been interesting to see the when Football manager's Rant (especially when they lose), all the media attention is focus on what he says and complain rather than about the football results or the performance of the other team...

most of the rant would be "cries of injustice" where their players were not given a penalty or the disallowed goal should be allowed.... So in their minds, are they trying to plants thoughts into other people to say that they are not wrong and things that goes wrong are not their fault but because of circumstances?

Do things goes wrong because of one specific thing that happened? or a combination of things? To be honest, i have no idea and i am not in the know how to debate. but it does give you some food for thought on why people like to rant when things goes wrong...

So next time when people around you rant, just listen and see if they are making excuses for themselves or they are just being bitchy?

hmmmmmm.......
